Say my name!

I know. Long time, no update.

Isabella now has two teeth. Both on the bottom. I've been trying to get a picture, but she's such a squirmy worm that it's impossible.

I'm trying to get her to say Mama. She says "muh" or "meh" when she wakes up, but honestly, I don't think she's actually calling me. Although, her daycare does. But what do they know? In any case, she has the beginnings of "mama" going. I just need to get her to say it on command, and associate it with me.

Could somebody tell me the average age that babies start sitting up on their own? My cousin Jody was sitting up on his own at 5 months, and so was my sister, but Isabella doesn't seem to be even close. I could look it up on babycenter, but, well, I'm lazy. At least I'm honest.

And while she has NO interest in trying to sit up, she DOES seem to want to stand. All the time. She loves to stand up. It makes her laugh. I worry about that, though. My gramma told me that she's too young to put full weight on her legs, because the bones are too soft still, and she could become bow-legged. But my gramma also says that if farmers didn't use pesticides, peaches would be smooth like Nectarines and not fuzzy. So I'm not sure whether to believe her on the standing thing. Does anyone know for sure? I need some proof either way, because Adam won't believe me, and he lets her stand up as much as she wants. He thinks my grandma is insane, and, well, she is a bit eccentric, but he has a nasty habit of always doing the opposite of everything she says. grr. But I digress.

Okay. Time for poop talk. Again, I need feedback. When I was still nursing Isabella, almost every diaper was poopy. It was that weird yellow breastmilk poop. The kind that looks like curds. Then when she went to formula (Enfamil Prosobee - the soy formula), her poop was always dark greenish brown and gooey, and she only pooped once every two or three days.

After a while on soy formula, she started spitting up ALL THE TIME. So her doctor suggested I try milk-based formula instead, because she for some reason was not tolerating something in the soy formula. So we switched to Enfamil Lipil, which contains DHA and ARA, which are ingredients found in breastmilk, and are good for babies vision and stuff.

Well, ever since she started with the Lipil, her poopy diapers are back to almost every other diaper change, and they're also that funky yellow curd stuff. Is it because of those two nutrients? Because it just seems odd to me. It's still formula, and not breastmilk, and it just seems strange that two nutrients could change her poop that drastically. Or is it a dairy thing? Somebody? Anybody?

I'm not concerned. Just curious. And like I said before, too lazy to look it up my darn self.

So Let Me Know about all the stuff I mentioned in this entry. Or just sign my book to say hi or something. I like comments.
