byfirstlight's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A little bit of Christmas Shopping There should be some sort of law preventing Adam and I from going shopping together. Really. We break the bank. We end up buying expensive toys that we don't really need and can't really afford. Like a new digital camera We have three already. Granted, two of them are really old and don't work very well, and the other is a digital camcorder that doesn't take very good still shots, but we didn't need it. We wanted it. But...it's really nice, and it will get plenty of use. We also got our pictures taken! Whee! We had one family shot pose, and one of just Isabella. Walmart specials, of course, but that's okay. The family pose isn't very flattering to me or Adam, but Isabella looks good in it. And the one of just her is really cute, except she's got a giant dark spot on her dress from where she was sucking on it. Oh! And how cool is this? When I went to pick up the pictures from last time (the ones that were really bad, and I hadn't wanted to pay for), I mentioned to the girl that I was really unhappy with the photographer who had taken the picture. I told her how she wouldn't take any more shots after the first 12 or 13, and that I hadn't wanted to buy them, since the pose we were stuck with was so bad. The girl (who turned out to be the manager) acted really surprised, and told me that the limit on retakes was 25, not 13, and that if you aren't happy with the final one, you DON'T have to buy the package. So she refunded my money, and also gave me a coupon to come back and get a new pose and the basic package for free. Sweet!! So that's what we did. The family one was the free one, and the one of Isabella ended up costing $20. So that was cool. It definitely pays to complain if you get bad service. So, while we were waiting for our turn to get the pictures taken, we decided to do our christmas shopping. We bought Isabella an Exersaucer (which we've already put together for her to play in), the Starry Night Mobile, the Ocean Wonders Aquarium, a few outfits, rattles, a vibrating teether, bottles, a sippy cup, and I think that's it. We were going to buy a new carseat (this one), but they were out of stock. However, I think I'm going to order it from walmart.com after I finish this entry. Then we bought various things for our family, my favorite being the Crayola Crayon Maker for my 8 year old sister. How cool is that?! Why didn't they have that when we were kids?? Maybe I'll ask Adam to buy me one, just so I can play with it. Hee. 9:27 p.m. - 12.14.02 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
