The icky yucky runny bunnies

Oh, what a week it's been.

Isabella has had some evil diarrhea. It was so gross. I took her to the doctor, and it's a viral infection that needs to run its course. I'm giving her 2oz of pedialyte every hour to keep her hydrated, but that's it. There isn't anything else you can really do.

I'd like to know how she got it in the first place. I suspect it has something to do with DADDY. Because I caught him feeding her ICE CREAM on Sunday. Who knows what else he's been giving her. The big dummy. She's on soy formula because she has a sensitive tummy, and he's feeding her VANILLA ICE CREAM?! It's loaded with real cream and sugar. Did I call him a dummy? I meant moron. He's also given her ketchup and barbecue sauce, both of which are loaded with preservatives. It's so frustrating. She isn't even supposed to have fruit juice yet, and he's feeding her ketchup. I'm so irritated. Especially because even though I've told him repeatedly that she can't have anything but formula and rice cereal, he just doesn't listen.

How many babies has he been around? One. Her. How many babies have I been around? PLENTY. My sister was born when I was 14, and I have a cousin who was born when I was a month shy of 14, and I started babysitting him when he was a month old. Then there were countless neighborhood babies I cared for in my teens. I've got plenty of baby experience, thank you very much, and it really bugs me that he won't listen to me when I know what I'm talking about. grr.

Isabella's daycare is starting to piss me off, too. They give her a bottle whenever she's fussy. That's not necessary. She is NOT always hungry when she's crying. The thing is, she WILL always eat. I've been going through a lot more formula the past two weeks. It's very noticeable.

I've asked them not to feed her more than once every three hours, and now they're demanding a doctor's note? What the fuck? Who's the mother? The doctor, or me?!?! Argh. And it's not like I'm being the food nazi, here. Her pediatrician is the one who told me not to let her get in the habit of eating every few hours or she'll stay like that throughout childhood, and that's how babies become overweight.

Not only that, but she really doesn't need to eat every three hours. When she's home, she gets 5-6 ounces of formula every 3hours and 45 minutes. And she does just fine. She doesn't eat like she's starving, either.

It's a known fact that sucking produces a comforting feeling for babies. If they aren't happy about something, they'll suck. That's why pacifiers are so popular.

Ugh. So irritating. They are just so anal about everything that it ticks me off to no end. I had to have a freaking doctor's note for them to give her PEDIALYTE today! It's over the counter! It's not medicine! It's freaking gatorade for babies!

bah. I'm grouchy right now. I need to make an appointment to see my doctor. I think I do need to try something for my moods, because they just aren't getting any better. I'm one vile wench lately, and I don't like it.

Ah well. Out of stuff to say, and the baby is demanding attention anyway.
