I don't know what my obsession with reviews is. Whenever I see a new site that looks halfway decent, you can bet I'll head over there and submit. ESPECIALLY if they don't mark you down when you don't update daily. Because with this diary, I usually don't. Anyway, I feel like complaining. Now, I normally save this for my regular diary, but since the review in question is of this diary, I guess my rant will go here. And nevermind that I'm a couple weeks late in doing this. I'm in a worse mood than usual this morning, and this makes me feel better. Hendrix Views is a suckass review site. And Erin is a big dumbass. Yup. I was reviewed by them on the 18th, and the review was less than stellar, to say the least (hey, I said less than stellar yesterday. Time to retire that). So, in typical Candace fashion, here is my review, along with my responses. byfirstlight Errors – The only error I could see was on your archive page. Your entries only seem to go back to August, but some of your links (like you picture page) take you to entries done before August. 3/5 - It's called ARCHIVING, you reject. That's why it says "The Pregnancy - Birth and Beyond - Pictures " - Because that's how I archived them! If you want to read my pregnancy entries, click on the word "PREGNANCY". If you want to see all my pages of pictures, click on the word "PICTURES". Funny how that works, huh? Naviagtion - Everything is a-ok. 5/5 - you spelled Navigation wrong Updates – Every couple of days. 3/5 - Yeah, okay. Can't argue with that. Layout – Your layout is really pretty. I am assuming it is a custom design by mydesigns. It does a really nice job of focusing on your baby. Which is good because your diary focuses on your baby. 27/30 Yes, it is a custom. BY ME!! MyDesigns is ME. My Design Site. Idiot. And if you're gonna knock off three points from a "really pretty" design, you damn well better say why. Moron. Content - I love reading about your baby. The way you express things makes me feel as though I am watching her grow and learn. It is a really nice, easy, conversational style of writing with plenty of emotion and real feeling. 38/40 - Again, if you are going to deduct points, then say WHY. Moron. Contact – guestbook, notes 2/5 - Only 2 points, because I didn't actually link my email. And we all know that it's soooo hard to remember byfirstlight@diaryland.com. Extras – About me, pics, rings, photo album +4 - Yeah, okay. This diary isn't actually loaded with tons of extra crap Return – I really want to know how things go with your daughter. 8/10 - Yeah, I bet you do. I haven't seen your ip address in my sitemeter since. In fact, when you did visit, you were only here for 8 minutes the first time, and 30 seconds the second time. That's one hell of a thorough review, huh? Suggestions: I would suggest some sort of a disclaimer, letting everyone know that you will be dealing with your life as a new mother. - See, now this is the comment where I would have slapped her if she'd said this to my face. Because it amazes me that someone could be so stupid. This. Is. Not. My. Regular. Diary. It clearly states that in my profile. Everybody looks at profiles. I do not need a separate disclaimer to say "It's a BABY DIARY". It's pretty damn apparent already. Unless you're an idiot. Like her. Overall: 90/100 Eh. Whatever. I don't like 90. It's too damn low.
